We Support

In our efforts to support bee and pollinator conservation and sustainable honey production, we have teamed up with like-minded organizations to broaden our efforts and reach.

WEDDERSPOON SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING INITIATIVES:

Whole Kids Foundation

Wedderspoon is bee-yond excited to support The Bee Grant Program funded by the Whole Kids Foundation. The Whole Kids Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) founded by Whole Foods Market and guided by the same values, principles, expertise and standards for quality ingredients, food production methods and nutrition.

The Bee Grant program allows for schools and non-profit organizations to receive support for educational beehives, so students can observe bees up close and learn about the vital role these pollinators play in our food system.

MBG

Wedderspoon is proud to be a partner of the Mind Body Green Community. Revitalize is mindbodygreen's annual invite-only wellness weekend bringing together 250 thought leaders. The weekend is anchored by content sessions, workshops, mindful meals, workouts, and community conversations - all designed to leave guests feeling inspired and revitalized.

At the 5th annual event this year, mindbodygreen and Wedderspoon teamed up to bring awareness to the devastating crisis our global honeybee population is facing. In honour of Pollinator Month in June, mindbodygreen created a community garden with local, Arizona desert-friendly plants. Revitalize guests could choose their own plant and pot it, add a "Sweet Wishes from Wedderspoon" sticker and add it to the wall -- effectively growing a collective garden together as one. At the end of the weekend, mindbodygreen donated the plants to Phoenix Children's Hospital - paying it forward and spreading happiness & awareness.

The Bee Cause Project

Wedderspoon is buzzing with excitement to be welcomed into the family at The Bee Cause Project as a Honeycomb level sponsor! Wedderspoon’s commitment to pollinators is demonstrated through this incredible investment in the Bee Cause Project, an organization cultivating future stewards of the natural world with observation honeybee hive programs in schools. The mission of The Bee Cause Project is to provide youth with opportunities to understand, engage, and learn from honey bees in order to connect with the natural environment while developing STEAM skills.

To date, the Bee Cause Project has provided 330 hives, bee wise guides, and program support to schools and organizations in all 50 states and in 4 countries. With each hive providing habitat for approximately 40-60,000 honeybees, the program is also helping to directly support the pollinator population. Wedderspoon encourages its customers to learn more about this organization by clicking below and cheque them out on social media @thebeecause.
